About Country Data

Country figures on this site are based on official and international sources: UN (population, development), World Bank (GDP, economy, government finance), FAO (undernourishment, food), WHO (life expectancy, health), IEA and World Bank (electricity access), and national statistical offices. We update this platform every six months, so the numbers reflect our latest update cycle. For each country you will find:

  • Economy & budget – GDP (nominal), GDP per capita, government revenue and expenditure as % of GDP, and whether the budget is in surplus or deficit.
  • Population & land – Population in millions, land area (km²), forest cover and arable land as % of total land.
  • Health – Life expectancy at birth (years).
  • Hunger & food – Prevalence of undernourishment (% of population).
  • Water – Share of population with access to safe drinking water, and water stress level (low, medium, high, or extremely high).
  • Energy – Share of population with access to electricity.
  • Currency & wages – Official currency and approximate monthly minimum wage.
  • Economy (detail) – Inflation, unemployment, and public debt as % of GDP.
  • Environment – Access to basic sanitation, pollution level, and air quality (PM2.5).
  • Public sentiment – How satisfied or dissatisfied people are; protests and cost-of-living concerns.
  • Health (detail) – Doctors and hospital beds per 1,000 people.
  • Military spending – Defence expenditure as % of GDP.
  • Green / yellow / red status – Based on economic situation: green = very good, yellow = medium, red = bad (crisis, hyperinflation, conflict, or default; list updated from IMF and crisis reports).
  • 2024–2026 trend – For each country: last year (2024) vs 2025 and 2026; rise, fall, or stable in GDP and GDP per capita, with a short summary.

Definitions follow international standards (e.g. World Bank for GDP and budget, FAO for undernourishment). Small differences from other sites may be due to different reference years or rounding.
